The programs of the Department of Accounting and Information Systems have been accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) since 1984. Programs are reviewed every five years and the department’s accreditation was renewed in the spring of 2011.

AACSB provides internationally recognized, specialized accreditation for business and accounting programs at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral level. The AACSB Accreditation Standards encourage educators to pursue excellence and continuous improvement throughout their business programs. Throughout the years the standards have been continually revised to reflect the ever-changing needs of business and its students. Current standards are used as the basis to evaluate a business school’s mission, operations, faculty qualifications and contributions, programs, and other important areas. AACSB accreditation provides assurance to stakeholders that the business school and accounting programs are providing a top-quality education. The Broad College and Department of Accounting and Information Systems  are proud to be among the over 600 national and international programs accredited.
