Scholarships and Assistantships

The department will award scholarships and assistantships to graduate students for the academic year 2017/2018. These awards are funded by many donors who generously support the department and its students.

The following students may apply for a graduate fellowship and/or assistantship:

  1. any admitted MS student who will graduate at the end of the fall semester 2018, spring semester 2019, or summer semester 2019
  2. any student who has applied to the MS program by January 14, 2018

A graduate student may receive only one departmental fellowship while at MSU.

Selection criteria include one or more of the following:

  1. academic achievement
  2. financial need as determined by FAFSA
  3. college activities and responsibilties
  4. work experiences

Scholarship award selections are made by the department chairperson and the Graduate Fellowships Committee of the Department of Accounting & Information Systems.

Applications are due by 8:00 a.m., Monday, January 15, 2018. FAFSA applicaitons must also be submitted by January 15. Questions concerning the scholarship application should be directed to Professor Jacobs.
