The Department of Accounting and Information Systems is home to one of the nation’s top accounting programs. The undergraduate program was ranked 12th nationally (9th among public universities) in the 2010-11 U.S. News & World Report and 9th (6th among public universities) in the 2010 Public Accounting Report’s annual survey of accounting professors. The MS in Accounting program is also highly ranked–11th (8th among public universities) in the 2010 Public Accounting Report survey, and in this same publication the PhD program in accounting is ranked 8th in the nation for both research and teaching (5th among public universities).
